For those<br \/>who are working long days, time with<br \/>family can be at a premium. Eliminating<br \/>the drive to and from the gym and<br \/>working out with or near your family<br \/>can offer you some much needed time<br \/>together.<br \/>\u2022 Working out at home offers you<br \/>flexibility of schedule. Rather than<br \/>having to take a certain fitness class at<br \/>a certain time, you can choose when<br \/>to work out, based on your schedule.<br \/>Whether it\u2019s early morning or late at<br \/>night, you are in charge.<br \/>\u2022 Working out at home offers you<br \/>privacy. Some people are uncomfortable<br \/>exercising in front of others and would<br \/>prefer to work out alone. Working out<br \/>at home can offer you a wide variety<br \/>of exercises. You can customize your<br \/>workout on many of the gaming systems,<br \/>take advantage of live stream workouts,<br \/>or rent\/buy a variety of different fitness<br \/>DVDs. You are not stuck taking a certain<br \/>exercise class just because it fits the time<br \/>you can exercise.<br \/>\u2022 Weather is not an issue when you<br \/>work out at home. The phone rings; the<br \/>laundry is piled up; the kids are arguing.<br \/>All of these can distract you from the<br \/>most important task at hand &#8211; improving<br \/>your health.<br \/>\u2022 It can be easy to skip your workout<br \/>when you exercise at home. Without<br \/>accountability to a class, trainer or even<br \/>a workout buddy, it can be easy to skip<br \/>your workout just this once. And again.<br \/>And again.<br \/>\u2022 Some people don\u2019t work out as<br \/>intensely as they need to when<br \/>working out at home. For some, having<br \/>a teacher, trainer or classmates to push<br \/>you a little, increases your intensity and<br \/>results!<br \/>\u2022 Your exercise form can suffer when<br \/>working out at home. Having the<br \/>proper form when lifting a weight or<br \/>doing aerobics is important both for the<br \/>results you wish to achieve as well as for<br \/>preventing injury. If you find it too hard to keep your commitment\u00a0to better fitness by exercising at home, get to the gym regularly, letting your family know that you are giving them the best gift possible &#8211; a healthier you!
